Tiger Cruises are different on other ships..........On the Tiger Cruise on the USS Essex in 2010, spouses were allowed. My youngest son and I went, and Thomas did not have a sponsor, nor did I. He slept with the other male 'guests' in the male berthing while I slept in a female birthing. We went from Saseb (the home base for the Essex) to Yokosuka (the larger base in Japan) on a 4 day 3 night cruise. We arrived in Sasebo a few days in advance and stayed at the Navy Lodge and got to see the sites in the area.
what is a tiger cruise?
Hi Judyann, He sounded great. How is yours doing? No no tiger cruise, my youngest is too young . Maybe next time :)
M., What a very special surprise. Happy for you :)
Katie surprised us this year. She said she wasn't going to be coming home. Katie appeared at her brother's Christmas Concert! My Mom hadn't been having heart issues and she decided she needed to come home (wish I could help with the $2,000 plane ticket from Japan). We have been having a great time and Katie has been able to visit lots of friends and family in her 10 days. Her flight leaves tomorrow afternoon.
Merry Christmas everyone! Have a very special New Year! How is everyone doing ? God Bless. T
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year DC Moms
