Hi Mom's
My son is scheduled for PIR on 2/4/11 an assigned to ship 11 div 061. I could not find any groups for moms who's sons are assigned to ship 11 div 61. Sooo I am hoping we could get together here and compare notes from our sons. I dont know much about this division, I have read from other moms that certain divisions mean certain things. Well I hope to hear from you guys :)

Hi captain--welcome to the group! What craziness, huh? When our sons decided to join the Navy, i dont think any of us realized how much of a part of it we would all become:))
I am from PA and are making plans to drive the long trip up to PIR...Cant wait!!!
Captain- Welcome! I am from NC. Only 3 weeks left!!! Time should really fly by now. Especially for them. They'll be very busy the next few weeks.
Kelly--- i was wondering that too. My sons GF texted me and said "blahhh, i dont think hes getting my letters"
I sent mine a letter in the form of a questionare and told him to just send it right back to me after he answers everything on it, but i never received it and he never referred to it in any letters i have gotten since. I would just like to know if he wants me to send his contacts or not. lol.
None of this is going to matter in lees than a few weeks,!!! I cant wait to see them. I hope we all get to meet each other, and hopefully our sons know each other. I read on here about exchanging phone #'s before we leave in case someone is lost, late, needs a ride, etc....I am willing to do that with you ladies if you want. Let me know. I will help anyone out that needs it (or willing to BS any time someone wants to ) lol
Postie your right in a couple of weeks we will see them but I dont want him to be sad thinking we are not writting him.........exchanging numbers is a great idea we should do that. I am not making the meet and greet due my flight time but would like to meet up with you guys some time over the weekend......
I received my scarf too. They are very nice and very soft. 061 is going to look SOOOO GOOD!!!
I haven't received any letters either. I'm wondering if they are so busy (finally) that they really don't have as much time to write as they did during the holidays when things were slower.
