Hello All and a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I hadn't seen a group formed yet for our ship, so I thought I would start one (Ship 02, Div 911 - USS Reuben James (PIR Feb 4, 2011)) so we all can be in touch! We have a special connection with band, choir, and drill team!  It will be great to share our experiences, stories and plans to meet up for PIR in Feb!  I'm a new Navy mom, and missing my daughter greatly right about now (as I am sure we all are missing our loved ones!), but am so very proud.  Let's chat!

? Boy we are a quiet group today!  ;o)

Welcome aboard Nascarbobby2!!!

Cant' wait until February:) Hasn't anyone received a second call from the Div 911 SR? I've rec'd several letters but just the one call:(

I like the silver scarf idea. We can't be the only ones not doing something!!!

Silver it is! Nope...no more phone calls yet. The next one I'm expecting is the"I'm a sailor" call after Battlestations...but I'm HOPING for one before then!!!
Has anyone's SR in DIV 911 written about their date for Battle Stations yet?  I was hoping my daughter would have mentioned it in her letter this week, but no such luck.  I had asked her about it in one of my letters last week, but it seems like her mail from me is still about at least a week or so delayed before she gets it.  I just can't stand it!  I am soooo anxious to hop on that plane and go see her!  Hopefully, these last few weeks will fly by!  ;o)
A bit of good news from this week's letter from my daughter ... it sounds like this division is now coming together!  ;o)  She wrote about a really good friendship she now has with a couple of other SRs from this division.  This is a very good sign, considering the struggles during the first few weeks of BC!
Hi Sherry when i spoke to my sr a couple of weeks ago he stated that battle stations were Jan 30th I'm not 100% sure but I know it was the end of January.  He said that he would be able to call home before he went in and then when he got done.
Thanks!  Well, I really like the sound of possibly getting another phone call before BattleStations!  I won't hold my breath, but man-o-man would that ever be a great boost for our DIV, huh?!  ;o)  Anyone else hear anything from their SR about BattleStations date for 911?
Shelly -- I've added your 4 ribbons for Chris on our order!  I can't wait!  I am having such a hard day today at work, and then not being able to concentrate (because I just can't seem to get my daughter off my mind!) is only making it worse ... bummer!  Well ... tomorrow's Friday! and one more day closer to our Recruits!  ;o)
Hey All!! I just got a letter from my SR "Stripper" and he said Battlestations were on the 31st. I am going to have my phone with me all day on the 31st!! :)
Aprilan...that's great! If BattleStations is on the 31st, then we should expect our I'm a Sailor call the morning of the 1st...oh, I just can't wait!
I'm not taking any chances though...my phone will be with me, even if I have to put it in a plastic zip lock bag to bring it in the shower with me!!! LOL! (on second thought...maybe I'll just take my shower the night before!!) ;o)
I already thought about the zip lock bag and shower tooo......lol When i see you in Great Lakes remind me to tell you a story about my son, the shower and zip lock bags...... you will laugh so hard! I just sent my son a letter off this morning. The waiting game is so hard. On another note.............it's Friday woo hoo!
