Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Div 818 PIR 9/2

As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

PS: my new pic is of my J when he was about 10 putting rabbit-ears on Grandpa-- he was the only one to ever get the rabbit ears caught on camera!!!!

Found out a LITTLE bit of good news.....W goes to the DMZ for one year and can extend to two years....so it will depend on what goes on and how he likes being there. He said he will take some leave after one year and come home for a little while, so we'll see how that goes.......

Haven't heard from J as to whether my email helped any......

Well, I ws never gone... just MiA as I was in FL for 5 weeks hanging with my homie kids  hahaha....  Im always around!

Heard from J. He is really struggling with being out there two long deployments in a row and Grandpa dying. Have sent him an email that I hope helps......

Bama...  wooooow...  I know this is hard for yall!  But - you will still have skype and internet I hope...  I know he will then be on a base where that will be easier for him.. rather than the ships which are aweful about internet...  gosh well, you give that awesome young man a hug from us mammas and tell him how proud we are of his accomplishments!!!  He is Stellar as CKH use to say!  haha   J is prob just busy..  Im sure he thinks of yall and home every day!!!  I use to hear from B man every day... now usually twice a week...  I know as he progresses he is getting busier and busier ...  hang in there sista!!  we love you and are here for each other!

Found out last night that W is being posted in.......Korea!!!  In the DMZ!!!  He leaves on 2/4 and we may not see him for 2 YEARS!!!!  And I thought Navy deployment was tough!!!  We are going to go see him, probably next Saturday, hoping Granny can come too.....
