Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

okay - so I just got a call from the American Legion Riders director (a dear friend) checking on me cause I did not go on the ride yesterday... Not characteristic of me.... I burst out crying.... man - guess my personal roller coaster is not over yet. I hate roller coasters! :o(

funny to talk about movies but I feel like I have known you here moms wives for a long time..... Now - have you heard about the Expendables?? I think hubby and I are going to see that today.

Lydia, We saw Alice In Wonderland a few months ago just for something to do & it was ok! You should rent it.....I just saw Edward Scizzorhands again & boy it's weird to watch that one again!!

Good Morning Everyone! richsmom, that is a great thought & I actually have it on my calendar right here! No calls here yesterday either, there was always that tad bit of hope for one...but maybe today! Andrew'sSupport, No AC here in NH for us either but it hasn't been in the 90's lately either, going to Maine to the beach today & I am hoping the water has warmed up enough for me to go in!!
