Information

Div 818 PIR 9/2

As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

Yes ladies if you go to the PIR site and click on all discussions there is a discussion on Thursday PIR and GnG from Sobe. Of course I am waiting to hear specifically from my son but he is staying in GL for A school and told my husband in his last call (that I missed) that he thought he could stay out overnight. Hope that helps a little but I know you will all feel better when you hear it form them. :o) Off to Work Have a Great Day!!!

Good morning Ladies, I believe it was Sobe who told us that if they are staying in GL for A school then those recruits would be able to stay overnight. I'm pretty sure it's still posted in a discussion on PIR 9/2 site. I'll go check

Thanks hiphop and Shan, I knew about them having to go over and check in etc..I was just unsure about whether they would be on liberty or on leave for the weekend. I thought maybe someone's son might know something that my husband didn't. In the last letter he sent me he said he did not think they would be able to sleep out. I was just hoping. :) I guess wishful thinking on my part. Thanks ladies.
Have a great evening all! I am off to bed, as my children arise at 6am. :) XO

I know Kelly...Pretty soon 19 days! CKH..you are correct..I did read that after Liberty call...they have to go get processed again and could take 4 to 5 hours...pack up their rack and seabag, get orders and move on to next location wether it is across the st or another bldg..etc...

CKH - I remember viewing a Navy video (seen so many) that made reference to all sailors that are staying on RTC grounds. It stated that they'll be busy directly after PIR transferring their belongings to their new location. I think (don't quote me) that they'll also be getting new uniforms, equipment, textbooks, etc. during that time. It may last 4 - 5 hours. After that they're on liberty. Fairly certain they have to report back every night though. Disclaimer: All this information is subject to my memory working correctly! I'll try to find the video & review it again. In my son's letter, he advised that he's counting on us staying through Sunday.
