Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Information
As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

kelly59 - woow - Im spoiled I guess - but hey its 105 here right now and the sun is going down... I can imagine no AC - I love the heat and dont mind sweat but nice to have ac to run into! Course I dont have a pool! :o(

kk - same for me - no letter last week nor this week.....lets toward Friday or Sat for letter and call! I cancelled a bike ride just so I can stay home and get a call if he calls - as I missed it last weekend.! :o( tears ---- hold on.... they are quiet right now because of Marlinspike and blaaa blaaa week of intense stuff going on.... I know what Im doing.... STAYING HERE WITH YALL till my eyes are totally bleary - hubby just got pissed again .... I dont care - I am cooking dinner at least hahahah :o)

kk, HUGS sent to you!! Hang in there...it's not the end of the week yet! We haven't gotten anything yet this week either. I'm hopeful, but have learned not to get the hopes up too high!

Lydia, No AC because we live in the North where it usually doesn't get this hot every summer & we've really never needed it! We'll get one for next year tho!

CKH, I also asked my son that question in my last letter to him...so hopefully he will send us a reply or call with that info. Thought of you today when I went by the park with all the young Mom's & their little ones on the swings! : ) Hope you had a fun day!
