Information

Div 818 PIR 9/2

As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

kk - okay - sounds good

Kelly59 - Craig said that many families do that for when grad ends - and I think it might have been Sobe who said it is a casual - affair with many banners, balloons tied to waists and stuff. I agree on the distraction part during the actual ceremony too! I dunno - just repeating what I read. I was just thinking about it. some moms have mad their own posters to hold up-- hummm well, anyway - =o)

Lydia, No I didn't see that. Someone who had been to PIR tho had suggested not bringing banners into PIR due to so many families sitting throughout the bleachers & the distraction factor...no one wants to cause our new Sailor's to get distracted when they are marching in.

kelly59 - Craig posted a web site where you can get free banners made up - I just dont have time (at work and busy as heck) to go back on PIR site and back page to find it.... do remember what it was - did you see those posts a few days ago?

CKH, Just let me know what you need & you got it! I personally would just concentrate on our division & only the ones you've heard from at this point. I think other divisions may be doing their own ribbon thing...just a thought.

Yes, that would suck...we can finally talk to him and he has no charger. I have started my list as we speak. Going to pick up the rest of the ribbons today. I have only heard from 3 of the 14 divisions. I am still hoping that I can get someone from each division to be responsible for making sure the extra ribbons make it to PIR. Should I start stalking each division group? hahaha Once I get them I may take some of you up on your offer to help. Not to worry, it wont be too much, promise! :)

CKH, So I wasn't that far off with 90 then....my memory amazes me sometimes, I'm glad it's still sharp!! lol Yea, don't forget those chargers, a phone without a charger is a dead phone!
