Information

Div 818 PIR 9/2

As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

CKH - Sounds like we really aren't going to get to spend much time with our divers, does it? You mentioned they may get 8-8 liberty. Can you tell me what that is? Is that Thursday night?

Lydia, HUGS going out to you! I know how you're feeling, it's very nerve wracking not hearing from them especially if they are sick or injured. Take Care of yourself!

CKH, Thank's for sharing you're husband's call with us. I did get a letter yesterday, my son sounds good but did tell us that he will only have Thursday afternoon to spend with us then they are flying out. I've been pretty down about that since getting the letter so that's why I've not been very "chatty" on here. Not feeling that great. I hope you're little one feels better soon! HUGS TO ALL 818!!

Lydia, if Ben said he will graduate 9/2 he WILL graduate 9/2. You know your son and I feel like I kind of know him too. It seems as though this young man is not going to let anything stop him, he is smart and determined. I will most definitely pray for him to have an easier time of it. I'm worried about you...lean on us if you need anything. You know I am here. XO

Hi Ladies! I hope you all are having a great day! I am so glad that you like the ribbon color, I picked them out of a hat so I am really glad we got crimson, I like the color too!! Thanks so much for the offers to help I will let you know as we get a bit closer. I would love a little assistance.
In other news, I got a 6 minute call from my husband today when we were at the county fair. He sounded so tired but said that 818 is definitely improving. All of them were supposed to be able to call today but they got into trouble this morning and only special circumstances and division leaders were allowed the short call. He said that the whole division should get a call next week, so ladies keep your phones with you !!!! It was a very fast call. He said they are Grad&Go and that Air Rescue leaves at 2am Friday??? Keep in mind he was talking fast and quiet. I will get confirmation of this info this week. He doesn't think at this point that the divers will be off for the weekend but they may have 8-8 liberty. He pretty much told me not to bring the kids because his time was so short and it would be so hard. That was extremely hard for him. I was also getting the feeling that there were A LOT of head games being played, info is scarce and they are trying to break down and build up so they are keeping information very limited. My husband did not say that, this is my assumption from the phone calls and letters.
It was great to hear his voice. He said he was beat up a bit but nothing that would keep him from doing anything. He also asked me to confirm our PIR guests. We went over the list and made changes and that was pretty much it.
I wanted to ask him 1000 more questions. Every time I hear his voice I want to cry. I miss him so much. I told him everything was great, we were fine and no need to worry. I think that helped. I will post this here and possibly on the other site. Our youngest did not go to the fair with us this morning because he was not feeling well, he now has a fever, poor thing so it will be a busy day for me. I will check back when I can. XO

Lydia, I am praying for Ben. I know it is difficult, but stay positive. We are here for you. Special HUG and prayer for you. Praying for all recruits, and their families. Has anyone heard about the recruit that hit his head? Driving home in an hour or so when bay bridge is clear.
