Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Div 818 PIR 9/2

As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

All ---Ben called 2 times today I missed him :o( he did get his sister... she said he said it was a "special situation" or something like that call??????? He is sick as a dog still and splints are really bad... they allow him to ice them at night before bedtime is all. He swears he will make it grad on the 2nd! Please moms pray as we already all have been for each other... No letter.... that what makes me wonder if he is in the hospital or whatever and just not telling us?? They cant write then I think ??? I dont know....dazed and confused right now --- okay signing off again back later or tomorrow ... HUGS moms / wives / sisters

Andrew's Support, I want to see that movie too, glad it was funny! Have a great time at Seafair today! The Blue Angels will be here in NH at the end of the month & we are going to see them too, they are amazing to watch!

Good Morning ladies, I like the color crimson. I went and saw The Other Guy with my son last night. It was funny. Today we are off to Seafair. They will be having hydroplane races and the Blue Angels will be performing. No matter how many times I see them fly, I am always amazed. Enjoy your day!

Hi kk - your soooo cute! Not a lot of activity here sometimes - guess cause we are a small goup --- Im worried cause I did NOT get any letter(s) from Ben this week which if you knew Ben you would know that that is weird. Im worried about him - I dunno maybe just the mail system but we been getting them. I read on the other post where their divs are writing 3 days a week???Well, Ill be here a little while then off the the American Legion Motorcycle Ride for care packages.. {{HUGS}}

One more thing before I go to work.... The month of August is NAVY month on the military channel.. Every Thursday NIght (didn't catch the time probably 8 or 9) they have a special show on the NAVY. Make sure you can see the tellie from where your computer is LOL

Good Morning My Friends,
It's 7:30am Have to get my fix before I head off to work. My husband woke me at 7:00. Discovery Channel has a show on BUDS. Watching while I'm chatting hear. God Bless those Men.
Trisha Thank you again. Great Info I didn't realize Chicago was an hour and a half ride. But I can walk 7 blocks (as long as it's not 29 flippen degrees below zero)

Trisha Thanks that is great information. Especially the weekend train pass. How long is the train ride and is the station in Chicago within walking distance to alot of the sites? Especially interested in Navy Pier I'm thinking.

Thanks for the info.. I HAVE to go to bed now or I'll be here all night :)
