Information

Div 818 PIR 9/2

As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

I am not receiving any updates from any Navy 4 Moms groups for some reason....Unfortunatley, I can answer your questions...I pray to God I am wrong or he is...Just received a letter dated July 31st AFTER the phone calls....My son is SWCC...he wrote that he is grad n go right after PIR on a plane and off to SD...I am devastated to say the least, not only do I have airfare and hotel till Sunday and planned on spending every minute possible with him....But they are being set up to Fail miserably in no time at all with NO pre-buds/pre-SWCC....conditioning training to get back to the peak performance that earned them this contract...it is so unfair to them! All other SWCC guys have had ample time to get back to the PT scores and condition they were in before BC. It was my understanding that all the past SWCC guys had a few to many weeks to prepare for this grueling testing...They are being thrown to the wolves (out of shape from BC). I already called the recruiter and he is checking with the Sr. Chief...Recruiter said, if he wrote that then it is the real deal and it affects way too many ppl for them (RDC's) to be playing them. I also called the Affairs office to confirm but received the recording. They close at 4:00 P.M.

richsmom, I have heard the same thing about the SWCC guys being G&G & to be honest this is awful news! : ( When he was in DEP they were told that they would probably stay at GL for a couple weeks to get "back in shape" before going on to San Diego. We did not get a letter today so haven't heard this directly from our son & hope not to!

Ckh. No I haven't heard that our divers will have no time after pir. I had been assuming that since they were staying in gl that we would have them for the weekend. I told myself not to get my hopes up about that idea but I'm really wishing it to be true. Why? Did you hear something?
