Information

Div 818 PIR 9/2

As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

You know I was thinking about that richsmom and I think that I will drive, that way I have a bit more flexibility. The only downside will be 15 hours in the car with 2 kids....I will be investing in many dvd's haha...I think my in-laws are considering the same thing. Any thoughts?

CKH That does make sense to me and I know you want to make plans but I don't think we're going to know anything yet. Rich sounds really busy in his letter and phone call. You notice I didn't put plural. I've only gotten one of each. :(

Oh- I forgot to mention that when I called about Grad&Go they said that the div would leave on Saturday, so I think that means they either have to be checked into GL by Saturday and have their orders Or depending on where they are going and doing they get on a plane. I hope that makes sense.

When I talked to my husband yesterday he said that he has not received any graduation information yet. He didnt even know that he was Grad&Go. I don't know if that means he has his head in the sand or they are still doing crappy and graduation is not on the radar yet. I dont know. If anyone has any 818 graduation info please share. XO

Hi hiphopmob- My husband is also a diver candidate and will be staying in GL after PIR. Just an FYI I spoke to a current Navy Diver the other day, one of my husbands best friends, and he said that dive prep can last anywhere between 3 and 5 weeks and is RARELY less than that. I just wanted you all to know. Hope that helps
