Information

Div 818 PIR 9/2

As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

kk I have copies and pasted all yalls comments and sent them to him - yours too Kelly59..... I agree.... If as in his letter he indicated they did not break under pressure then this is the first sign of them pulling together as a team hahaha! love it just love it!

:o) Im sure they are on the roller coaster too but Ive heard the halfway mark usually is where they start to pull together. Less yelling more team etc... I read that on that info post on one of the sites here - detailing about the 7 weeks and what happens each week. Lets keep that thought in mind.

Well. What do you make of that? Just like my son's first. letter. My emotions go up and down. Sad that they have to stand and be punished for an hour but proud that they can and do endure it. Also proud that even after all the abuse Ben can still perform in his PT, all the while studying. Hopefully this will be the hardest thing all of these young brave men ever go through in their lives.
Thank you again Lydia for sharing. :)

okay moms - not as upbeat little more serious on this one...and I can tell he is tired....he did not even put a postage stamp on the envel. bless our postlady for bringing it to us anyway! It is about the halfway mark and you can see they are struggling to get it together - but they will!!!.......................

Greetings from bootcamp..Mom I got your letter two days after I sent mine. Sorry my last letter was kind of random. I had to write fast because church ate up alot of my time. So, more in depth. Everything is okay. My Division did hit rock bottom which Chief (Ben's recruiter) told me it would happen. Just stupid things. Like someone said something but would not fess up to it so Chief made us salute and hold our other hand straight out. Once someones dropped then he made us hold a book out in front. They still wouldnt fess up so he made us fill a canteen up and hold it out. Still no one fessed up... Oh well, it passed but it was for like an hour. Yes I did open a Federal bank account. Im about to sleep. Im always exhaused unless Im up doing something. Im sitting now and almost about to fall asleep. Ship Staff is cool, I get to talk to other divisions and just clean. Good two hours. I took a PFA (Physical Fitness Assesment) today. 124 pushups, 113 sit ups, 1 1/2 mile run in 11 min. I thought my run sucked but sill I might have gone up to G-2 if I passed the written portion. Gotta do Dive Motivation PT toworrow. Fancy name for swimming Running etc. I am one othe top swimmers out of the 94 in my Div. July 22nd?? I dont really know what day it is. Its hard to keep track. I got letters from Beth and Hosie last night but was too tired to read them. I had colors this morning, meaning, I put up the flags while my Div went to PT so I have some chill time to study and stuff. Im so swamped with studying.... and Im not very good at it. Today for breakfast I had two boiled eggs, bacon, bagel, cereal, waffles and coffee and tea. We actually got to listen to music while we did an in house PT which was cool. My Chief likes good music. more to come later Love you.
