Information

Div 818 PIR 9/2

As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

Hi All! I need a little advise. My husband and I have 2 small children 4 and 1 as most of you know. I am having a really tough time figuring out if I should bring them to graduation. I am worried because he will be in dive prep for another month and he is G&G. I am concerned that our 4 year old especially will have a VERY hard time letting him go again. I want to spare him and our children that pain as much is possible. I thought about leaving this up to him but I am not sure that is the best move either. Any advise moms? XO

Vicki, That sounds pretty close to it, it usually is within the next couple days so I would say he is a Grad ad Go....my son is also in the same ship and Div. Perhaps I should call and check...Do you know where your son is going? California perhaps?

Oh gosh I forgot the most amazing part of my day today.... I left work at 11:30 (dang I hated signing off this site lol - I have withdrawls when I shut it down) anyway - main objective of my day..... to find funny cards to send to my son - well went to the mall..... went to Hallmark, Spencers, Christian book store.... NOTHING right... either stupid or dirty! So I left the mall thinking wooow Lord what a waste of an hour... I could be almost home by now - oh well...... so (I live 87 miles from work ladies) I got to the gas station where I top off my tank and get a newspaper to check the funnies so I can send one to my son... if its actually funny ----- so okay... Im thinking as I pull in the gas station - man Im pooped - no success at the card thing - Oh well - gonna get my paper and go home.... So I walk into the gas station and in front of me (Im getting chills just telling yall this) was this tall - muscular - handsome - (they are all handsome to me of course) man dressed in fatigues...... Army I knew right away... I put my hand on his shoulder and said "thank you for serving our great country sir" He turned around and smiled and said you are most welcome mame - (had a little girl maybe 4 holding his hand) I said to him .... my son is in Navy Boot Camp right now - he smiled and said yes mame.... well I just returned from Iraq today. I said OH MY then I want a hug from you..... He stopped - turned around and have me a BIG hug and said Thank You Mame.... Now moms/wives - first off - everyone was smiling and watching and second --- the moment he put his big arms around me for a hug - I felt my son at that very instant! woooow this was a blessed day - no I did not get a letter from my son - but I got a hug from him! :o) God Bless America and me she forever remain free!
