Div 818 PIR 9/2

As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

Hi kk - woow neat about your son! My son is 18.5. One of those guys tall and handsome and kinda cockie but with his head on his shoulders and always willing to help someone who needs encouragement. He is tough but always encourages. (He would make a GREAT RDC haha) He has been working out for a couple of years now and all his couch potato buddies are now working out! That is what I mean about him encouraging others to go higher and be better. So Im sure he too like your son is fitting in well with our 818 guys and gals! He did well in High School - mostly Bs and a C or two throughout. He was a skate board surfer kid most of middle school... (living in FL lends itself to those activities of course) Then he got into working out at the gym. One summer we got a join the Navy card in the mail and showed him and he said.... Yea, well I was already thinking about it mom. (NOTE - his aunt is a Commander in the Navy and I think he has really admired her these many years. And NO he is not telling anyone that - if they knew that would really raz on him) Anyway, we lost Ben's father 7 years ago and that is when he really became quite the man. And he still is! He has taken himself to Youth group on Wednesdays by him self for several years. Not a perfect kids - slips up with the language every now and then but a heart of PURE GOLD and best of all he loves his momma he calls me Madre and love his sister! Thank you for sharing kk - this was a great idea. OH and he would love for everyone to know him - he is out going and gabbie just like me - but since we are not supposed to post them here - just friend me and Ill tell you! That was we could see if they all know each other yet... hugs all

Lydia I've never been to Chicago so realllynot sure. I do know that I would rather fly non stop and being originally from Jersey I'm used to dealing with a lot of trafffic. If you rent a car make sure you bring or rent a GPS. We just used one when we drove to Florida and they are a great help. Worth the extra money.
IWe reserved our rooms alreasdy but didn't get air yet. I'm pretty sure we will fly into O'Hare
You may want to ask one of the more experienced moms though.

richsmom - do you think I should fly into O'Hare? It is the only airport that has non stop for me but - seems like the other one might be smaller and less confusing for me???
