Div 818 PIR 9/2

As our recruits get furthur into bootcamp I thought that maybe some of the Moms in Division 818 PIR 9/2 would like to get more specific information. I'm brand new at this but thought I'd try and maybe some more knowledgable Mom's will help us.

Good Morning Ladies
Andrew's Suppport - Lydia said it better than I could. You should be proud of your whole family including yourself. Thank You and your family for your service to our great country. I can't wait to meet all of you at PIR.

CKH I'm so happy for you. And what a great honor for you husband to be Master at Arms. My son's letter said pretty much the same thing. It's good to hear that they working together to make the unit run smoothly.

My son is the yeoman and he also said that if somebody else messes up then he gets yelled at pretty badly. But they want them to be leaders and leaders have to make sure their men are doing the right thing. I'm certain the Navy knows what they are doing.

If your husband is Master at Arms and my son is yeoman, I'm pretty sure they will be working close together to help things run smooth. This is exciting. I feel like I'm getting to know the men my son is living with just through all of you.

Today is a great day!!!! I FINALLY got a letter! I actually got everything all at once. It was so great to hear from my husband. Well here goes, I am so happy to pass this information on to all of you wonderful moms, who helped me so much...
He says (like everyone else) that P-week was awful. He was made the Master-at-Arms on the first day and he said that entails organizing everyone and making sure the guys are on task. He says if the guys screw up he gets yelled at pretty bad. The RDC's are tough but he seems to like and respect them. He says they are all working really hard to help the division run smoothly. He thinks they are all learning the system. They are held to a much higher standard and he says their experience is much different than the other divisions. He says because of all his duty's he gets a lot less sleep and very little time to study. He has a lot of after hours work to do. He said in his letter that he receives mail every day but can only write on Sundays. He says he is doing well and that he is with a "good group of guys".

He wrote 2 pages! I was so excited! I am so glad he is with such good guys who have such great moms! :) Emma was so excited to hear from Daddy on her birthday!! What a great present! :)

Wooow Andrew's Support - Hey - two lines or 20 - he is thinking about you! Thas all that matters.......arent you blessed to have two men in your home who serve this great country - but then dont forget yourself..... As the wife and mother, you are also serving this great country! Thank you so much for your courage! Surely there must be a Group for wives deployed or wives of military or something that you can draw courage from. If not maybe you could start one.

Thank you ladies for sharing your letters. My son is NOT a writer and so for me to receive a letter with two quick lines was great.
I hope my son is not a Grad & Go because I want a few days to explore Chicago and hopefully a few days for our son to spend with us. My husband is getting ready to deploy and then in 5 months we are transferring to Japan so getting to spend the long weekend with him would be great.

My son told me before he left that he had heard about the 'peanut butter' shot. I believe he WAS talking about the penicillin shot. His letter didn't say anything about the shot but he said that everyone got a shot that made them cough.
