Congratulations! They must be exhausted! Hope mom and dad can get some rest. Not much in the hospital I’m sure.
My son asked after the first night home how do we get him to sleep at night. Hahaha gave him my best advice, swaddle, sound machine but Dude! He’s not even a week old.
Finally!! Congratulations to all!!
12:05am EST 5/13/23 baby Oliver has arrived! Mom is doing great. Waiting on vitals. I’m so excited!
Well she's at 10cm and we are hoping that Oliver arrives soon!
Hi all - still no baby yet! Crazy, right?!? After a long night her water finally broke early this morning. And she did finally consent to the epidural. B said the pain was so bad he finally helped convince her that there was nothing wrong with having it. So she's at 7cm, finally able to rest a little and we are hoping it isn't much longer. They've been at the hospital almost 48 hours now.....I just hope he doesn't decide to wait until his due date tomorrow lol!
Great news B’s!! And good for her! My step-daughter had 2 of her babies at home with a mid-wife and no meds. It’s definitely doable.
Over here cheering her on!
Cameron is home! They don’t want us to share pictures with anyone except family as of now. But he’s adorable of course!! I can’t wait to snuggle him next month.
She made it to 5 and they have started the pitocin again! She texted me and said she was feeling alright and "getting prepped for more intense contractions". So let's hope things pick up now that she's at 5cm. Still no pain meds and she's hoping to make it through without - fingers crossed for her sake!
Jacob94mom - yay! So glad Cameron is going home today! That is fantastic news ;-D
So last update (about 3 hours ago) she was at 4-5 cm. Hoping to hear something soon and things get going. I'll keep you all updated....fingers crossed she's further along and we have a baby soon!
Cameron gets to go home today! He had to stay overnight with no monitors. Mom and dad went home last night to get some good rest, and help calm the fur kids some after being gone for 4 days.
B’s. Ours was pretty slow progress in the beginning too! And the same thing, they stopped the Pitocin to let mom rest. Once she got to 5cm things went quickly but that seemed to take forever.
Keep up with the updates!
Hoping for good news about both grandbabies today!! Thinking of you both!!
