Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In the event of an emergency within the sailor’s family, where you feel the sailor must be notified and considered for Emergency Leave, you must notify the American Red Cross through the national headquarters in Washington, DC (1-877-272-7337) or via their website www.redcross.org.

Comment by Kimberly on June 22, 2011 at 8:01pm: Tennmom I think those smoothies( drink 2 a day) make me hyper. I jogged at 6am worked in my garden until 10. The stingy bugs come out at about 8:30 am. I busted a move getting out of that garden. I hope you fell better Andy had surgery so he is about 6 mos behind the other submarine guys. He is bummed he wanted to stay with his buds. He finally has a girlfriend from here that he has known since 6th grade. She texted me a picture of him she was scrap-booking he was like 12-13 he was so cute... So far he has just found all his experiences challenges. He told me once he had accomplished more since he was in the Navy than he ever thought he would-- sounds like a career guy. He wants to go wherever his buddies go. Daysleeper thank you for showing us about the smoothies
