I volunteer at the humane society in Minneapolis and have always had all our pets (cats and dogs) spayed or neutered.  kittens and puppies are adorable, but I hate to see any of them without a loving home.

Daysleeper...I am glad you are trapping them and taking them to the humane society! I do animal rescue where I live, but I understand his frustration with strays! It is a shame you and your husband and the kitties have to suffer because of someone else's irresponsibility! Thanks for adopting your doggie! :) Sorry you have to work the rest of the week-end!

Daysleeper and Tenn Navy Mom! Thank you for your encouragement!! His last letter broke my heart and has me sooo worried! Now he is homesick and he thinks he has a stress fracture in his foot! :( He said he will have it looked at when he gets to A School, but with the runs and B.S. coming up, plus performing I am afraid the foot won't hold up...I wrote to him begging him to not take any chances and get it looked at NOW. All I can do is pray for him. As for the home sickness, I told him to just close his eyes and feel our love wrap around him because it is always there.

Kimberly, I am so sorry you are struggling...((hugs)) to all!

To my navy mom friends. I've really struggled the last few months. I haven't wanted to whine on the website so I have kept up but I was SEVERLY STRUGGLING. Ok for the last few weeks ive been better much has to do with my mothers death my physical illness and Andy. I am trying to resove to react in a different manner , a positive manner. ANYWAY Andy is home for 5 more days ( he is a submariner and had to have foot surgery in order to not get any kind of infection when down in the sub. He is so grown up and respectful he now has a girlfriend he has known from here since he was 12. It will be hard to see him go back but I sm so PROUD of him not something said before the Navy. His dad is smiling all the time. Thank you all for your support and prayers and believe it or not I miss you all

Hello everybody! I am so glad to be part of your group...

A little stressed today worrying about the boy. After Hell Week he was sick with respiratory issues, then he had the gas chamber yesterday. Hoping he is ok!! We are two weeks away from Graduation and we have had one phone call, but many letters.:) Why is it that the closer we get to grad. the more stressed I am getting? My daughter-in-law is feeling the same way. We have done sooo good up until now...Beth
