Carol-That request for the family picture IS something to be happy about. That's awesome especially coming from your son! My children got together and had photos taken for me for Mother's Day last year(before B left for BC) recreating a photo I had from about 15 or 16 years ago. They actually gave me a photo collage with several pics of my 4 and several pics where they also added the 4 grandkids. I loved it! Sat looking at those pics this Mother's Day--they still change alot-even in 1 year.

Our sailor called today.  He's in dry dock in VA.  He went on a Norfolk Walk today, and one of his photos he took during the walk has already been recognized as a photo of the day.  I don't have it yet.

Also, we are going to see him next month.  He asked that we bring a business casual outfit so we can get a family picture!  We haven't done that since he was in high school -- and that was for our church directory.  I'm pretty happy about that request!

Hi Everyone I hope you all had a nice Mothers Day and Carols kitchen, what a great idea and a great foto. Believe me those Moms of the Sailors you hugged will appreciated it. One of my sons PIR boot camp Sailor his  Navy Moms was visiting her son in Great Lakes in March and she bumped into my son and gave him a Big Hug from Me and took his foto with her son and send it to me from her cell phone and I tell you what a great feeling that was for Me and ofcourse I cried it was a great surprise

Daysleeper-  Thank you for the Happy Birthday wishes.   We got back yesterday from Illinois and my son's PIR.  It was wonderful to have time with him again.  I really miss him!!!!   We were able to get a cell phone to him after he left RTC.  He was able to call me on Mother's Day. It has been priceless having communications with him again.   What is the green smoothis recipe?     Mary from California

Welcome Navy/AirForce_Mom 11/185 and all the others who joined this week.  My apologies for missing some of you.  Was quite busy packing and planning for the packing party, and then flying out to it from Illinois/St. Louis.

A bunch of us Molly's Adopt a Sailor decided if we couldn't be with our sailors for Mother's Day, we would get together and hug other sailors.  And we did.  We also hugged Army and Air Force just returning from Afghanistan.  WOW!
