SO enjoying having young guys in the house again--if only for a weekend.  We took in 4 guys from our church's youth retreat.  Playing cards, laughing, one line movie quotes, and laughing some more.  Plus, we got to feed a group of hungry boys!  Just like the old days when our sailor was home.

Lynn, my son turns 22 on March 18.  He's the youngest of our 3 boys.  This will be the first birthday that he'll be away, but I'm glad that he was able to spend 2 weeks home over Christmas.

Thanks Carols Kitchen for the Welcome , I know how it feels since my son left for Boot Camp we have not touched his room in the attic he has that all for himself and whenever I can (I have trouble with my legs climbing stairs is very painful for me)I go upstairs and just sit on his bed and the tears start to flow.It was soooo nice having him home for the Holidays and that was already 2 months ago and eventhought I hear from him once in awhile its starting to get to me again almost as bad as when BootCamp for he is still in Great Lakes he will be there the rest of the year so I dont know when will I get to see him again.I have my very bad days of missing him and this has been one of those bad weeks for some reason the water works come and go.Well I have to go for now The Best to all,Maria Navy25

Welcome Navy 25

I remember one day going down to my boy's room, and his smell was gone.  I used to complain about it--then I missed it.  I was feeling kind of weepy, when I went to his night stand.  Don't ask me how, but there was a brand new Christinan rock CD on top of it.  Now, I had been down to his room many times before, and that was not there.  Maybe the hubby found it and put it there.  Anyway, I took that as a message from my boy, and played it numerous times on the road.
