Daysleeper--are you on the Navy Moms Cookbook page?  we're getting ready to print our 3rd cookbook, and it benefits deployed troops through Molly's Adopt a Sailor.

I've found it's easiest to get it working right by instant messaging while on Facebook - then he can tell me if he hears me, sees me, etc.  I usually have my sound off when I'm online and I've forgotten to unmute it a couple times.

Hi mn Linda, thanks next time my Sailor can Skype I'll check it our or when my stepson from Texas calls us we are trying it out with him on Sunday I sent him the camera for is Bday so we can see him and his 2 boys.My fiancee Bob was the one that hooked it up and he said its kind of easy to follow the instructions Carols Kitchen except for this audio dilemma and my Sailor was in a hurry for class.I'll let you guys know once we figure it out but it was really awesome to be able to see my Son.Keep in touch,My Prayers are with all Our Sailors especially those in Japan or heading to Japan Now God Keep them All Safe

navy25--I figure I'm going to have to ask one of the neighborhood high schoolers to teach me how to use skype.  Still haven't done it.

The sailor called yesterday.  He is going to re-enlist for another 5 years.  By the end, that will be 13 in all--so hope he goes on for career.  Then, I just walked in the door today, and he called again.  Sob sob--he wishes we could be there when he re-enlists next month.  We're going to see him around June, so we can't afford two trips.  Knows how to tug the heart strings from VA to IL.

navy25, there's a button on skype that you have to select to get the audio.  whenever I call my son, he says click on the audio button becuz I forget to do it.  Can't remember for sure what it's called, but it's pretty obvious when you are looking for it.

I hanen't checked in here for awhile and now I am sorry--you guys have been talking about food and cooking--my favorite subjects!

My son is going to Pcola soon and then may get stationed in Hawaii--I have no idea yet--but if he does, at least I will know some wonderful Moms there!

Daysleeper-- I had homemade veggie soup tonight because my hubby was gone.  He's a meat and potatoes guy, but he's been cutting back on the carbs since I'm keeping the white stuff off my plate.

Does anyone have an SR in Ship 11 Div 127?  I haven't received a phone call yet and I was just wondering if anyone else hasn't received a call or if I'm the only one?
