Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

In the event of an emergency within the sailor’s family, where you feel the sailor must be notified and considered for Emergency Leave, you must notify the American Red Cross through the national headquarters in Washington, DC (1-877-272-7337) or via their website www.redcross.org.

Also, you all are showing what a sisterhood we are becoming in the military life. It is a blessing to be able to share and know others understand what we experience in this phase of our lives.

Our son called for just a moment last night. He was extremely tired. But, the good news is that his sub is now in Norfolk, and he will be there for 2 years on the maintenence and rebuilding team as a machinist mate and welder. We can't wait for this summer to go out and see him and do a lot of historical touring of the area.

Eating bathing vacations school all those issues being shared for how many years? This is the empynesters group. I'm thinking feelings about being alone with a husband you really don't know after all these years then instead of peewee football,and cheerleading etc now it is time to figure who the person was that you put on hold all those years. Those posts sent a few hours ago inspired me. Isn't. That a part of who we are as well as moms of Navy?

I was somewhat ashamed to have been so open about my feelings but after reading these post it just makes me feel like Navy Moms are such caring loving giving moms. I too have pushed myself to do things but I do them I also find more food around the house,but more than anything I wanted to share my feelings and see if I was a weird mom. I like the thought about the umbilical cord my son also would like it to dry up! Thank you moms for being there

I have found that daily prayer is essential as my son is the first in our extended family serving in the military...I miss him.
