I couldn't find myvson either at PIR I thought it was just me-- his sister-in-law found him. I pointed to every 6foot person you couldn't say blonde hair because they had none

kk, I couldn't see my son at all either.  :(  I was just happy knowing that we were both in the same room again.  :)  His line was directly in front of where I was sitting and their line was so straight that I couldn't see his face at all.  My husband could see him because he was a little left of me.

KK,  I had a hard time finding my son at PIR too but, his girlfriend picked him out in a second.  What do you think that says?

Kk how beautiful-- it brought tears to my eyes. I feel as if an identity has left. I've been a hands on mom since I was 19. At that age it was be a mom not a teenager that I forced into my mind. Now that all three are successfully raised I am proud but lost sometimes. There is more time with my husband who I like as well as love we actually can watch a movie and not have to discuss kid issues. That has been relaxing. I have 2 dogs that keep me busy I work and I rely on you all. It is strange when I was. 18 and pregnant I thought my life was over and now I've had that same thought. It seems that nothing is as all consuming as parenthood but enough whining I am gonna start planning

Hi

For all who want to join in our great troopers adoptions, check this out

http://www.navyformoms.com/group/mollysadoptasailorproject

I will be happy to walk you through a meet and greet and then a packing party for our troops.  We are also sponsoring a hospital in Afghanistan on top of our monthly groups.  We can use your help with the February group, too, of over 1,000 of our sailors and marines.

Welcome to Carol in fla .  Wish I were there instead of blasted cold southern Illinois.

IS there absolutely no way to describe how filled with pride you feel after PIR, Bonnie?  It's been over 2 years, and I still remember the moment those doors opened--and then when we picked out our son in the 9th group!  My hands were shaking.

Welcome to Scott's mom .  Glad to have you here.

Kimberly--your baby hasn't been gone too long.  Think sometimes the beginning adjustment was the hardest.

Kimberly--how long have you been an emptynester?  For us, it's been since June 08.  , WE keep on finding things to do, with work, volunteering at food pantry, setting up packing parties for our troops and such.

What do empty nesters do when they feel empty?
