Thank Carol for the wonderful welcome.
We have been emptynesters for almost a year now, not real sure what to do with ourselves. We are still both very young, anyone we have come in contact with that's our age still has little ones. It's kinda weird. I've been on this site for quite awhile and I just found this group so I wanted to join. Let's hope all you nice ladies can give my hubby and I some insight. Thanks again

Yes, it will be very quiet around here after they both leave. At least my Navy son will be here for another month after his brother goes back to school. After that is when it will be difficult.....

Oh--two aren't allowed to leave around the same time :(
Let us know if you need a shoulder to lean on--especially when you wonder "why did I put that in my shopping cart?"

Thanks! It looks like this forum will be very helpful to me. I have a son entering OCS in October and my youngest will be a sophomore in college.

I think I've packed as many as 8 boxes of little debbies treats in one. Another held 8 can sof beans, lots of gum, and some books. I also got 30 pillow cases in another--for our overseas Molly's Adopt a Sailor groups. You get creative.

P-Bear. Sounds like something I would have done, too. Oh, wait, I HAVE done that before! btw, have you used the USPS flat rate shipping boxes? It's amazing what you can pack in one of those.

Hi and welcome Carolyn
Your husbnad may seem as if he is in 7th heaven, but the hubbies process their emotions through other channels.
The quiet house takes quite a while to get used to. Like you, I miss the household of friend tremendously. Plus, your "baby" left home at a young age, whereas our son was 20 in A school.
Keep in touch and let us know when you need a shoulder to lean upon!

Ah, P-Bear. That beats my seeing our son last week and my buying him two new "poopy suits" aka dickies type jumpsuits! I'm happy for you.
