Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

RED CROSS CONTACT INFO:

In the event of an emergency within the sailor’s family, where you feel the sailor must be notified and considered for Emergency Leave, you must notify the American Red Cross through the national headquarters in Washington, DC (1-877-272-7337) or via their website www.redcross.org.

It's a combined bday (B's 32nd) and Father's Day. I'm counting down the days. And even better I'm having our youngest son fly in to meet us there as a surprise for everyone! I'm so glad you had a good time - does the heart/soul good ;-D

Comment by carols_kitchen on April 29, 2021 at 11:59am: It was so much fun visiting our former sailor for his birthday. He works as a nuke engineer supervisor now on a Navy base. His hobbies continue in photography.

It was great filling up our favorite married couple every evening but two. We fed them food, they fed us love. It had been 19 months since we had hugged. Hubby cooked all week. The only meal out was breakfast at our favorite diner across from his work site. If I can get my photo library to work, there’s a sweet pix of our son and my hubby.

We rented a nice VRBO , and it was so much more sweet than the hotels. The homeowner had updated a small 2 bedroom place that was only minutes from our son and DIL’s home in Norwich, CT. It’s also fun visiting with our grand dogs and cat. It was a long time on the road of 2500 miles. I am so happy that my hypnotherapist prepped my rheumatoid arthritis body for the drive.
