Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

RED CROSS CONTACT INFO:

In the event of an emergency within the sailor’s family, where you feel the sailor must be notified and considered for Emergency Leave, you must notify the American Red Cross through the national headquarters in Washington, DC (1-877-272-7337) or via their website www.redcross.org.

We FaceTimed with them a bit ago and B bought a bunch of "beach" type things at the Dollar Store. He figured if they couldn't be in Hawaii he would bring Hawaii to them for her bday.....it was really cute. And they were wearing Hawaiian shirts when we talked. Glad they could make light of it - especially since it's 18 and feels like 4 at their house right now! And Hawaii is 75* lol

It is almost a year since we got back from our Hawaii trip - hope C and wife can get there soon...never put a honeymoon on hold too long!! :-)

They would have have been flying to Hawaii today to celebrate their honeymoon, graduating from MSU and her birthday. Unfortunately that trip didn't happen......On a positive note she started grad school this week and they are completely moved in to their new house. Now if we can just figure out when we can visit them in MI!
