Hi all. I’m new here. My son just signed EOD contract. He was in injured during HellWeek in BUD/S and decided to drop with hope to move into EOD. He’s excited to start. Believe he’ll quarantine in GL for 2 weeks and start in October.
Unit 1 - Point Loma!!!
Congrats to your son Rubber Ducky. Please let us know, in 2 weeks, what Unit he gets assigned to. So sorry you're not permitted to go to the pinning.
Congratulations RubberDucky!!
What unit did he get?

Proud Navy mom today. He passed his final test yesterday (disarming an torpedo - yikes!) Navy EOD Pinning ceremony set for two weeks out. No guest allowed due to virus situation in Florida. Sad about that, but happy that he is moving along. Next up, jump school! Hooyah!
All well here also. Mine is still in Virginia and will be for next few years. He will be going on sea duty by the end of the year. Hoping he makes Senior Chief and will know by September/October. Glad everyone is doing well. Stay safe.
My son is also at Elgin. Glad they have this very hot week off. Sorry it’s because of this awful COVID! All well here also.
Family okay. My sailor is winding down but now quarantining at Fort Eglin. Seems that had some test positive. Just another few weeks of delay. Wow, this journey has been a long haul. But happy and healthy thank God. Hope everyone else is well here.
All good here.
stay safe everyone!!
