Just checking in to say hi. Quiet here. My son begins day 1 of EOD school in Destin today. And so the journey begins....Although it's been quite the journey thus far. How is everyone else doing?

hvmom,

Congratulations!

We're still learning too!  We just try to comply with the info we get.  Graduation is great, enjoy!

Thanks for the advice.  I kind of figured that was the case - it's nice to hear some confirmation.  We're looking forward to the graduation!

My son told us that he was only suppose to have things with the correct badge for the level he had earned.  Basic is first - if this is his EOD graduation.  Senior and Master are attained later with designated years served and passing exams.

My son told me it's bad luck to buy anything higher than what your sailor is trained. That's my son's opinion. I always kept that in mind when I bought anything.

I'm thinking of having a graduation gift customized but I'm not sure which EOD logo to use.  Basic, Senior or Master?  I think Basic?  Anyone know about that?

NJNavyMom,

No, he is far from there. Just left Great Lakes and beginning the journey. In Dive School right now. He'll get there eventually, God willing. Congrats to your guy. The light at the end of the tunnel. Hooyah!

Karenlee, Nine years? Wow! Is he still in and doing same?

Comment by NJNavyMom on May 31, 2019 at 4:36pm

We will be visiting him soon. Thanks, I’ll definitely check out Bombs Away. Love that name!
