Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Congrats to your son NJNavyMom for making it to Eglin AFB!! This is where he will graduate EOD school and get his assigned base. If at all possible please try to be there for this graduation. I pinned my son there 4 years ago. Very moving ceremony. There is a really nice (small) store near there in Valparaiso, Florida to buy all kinds of EOD things. Decals to clothing. I bought tons of stuff there. It's called Bombs Away.

Hi ladies. I've been quiet for awhile. My son is driving from Coronado BACK to GL after a try at BUD/S. Nice meeting you. He will be joining a class that starts this Monday morning. I'd be happy to help you all as I am one step ahead of you. He PIR'ed last April, so it's been a long haul.

So happy to have found this group.  There is a lot of great information in here. Hi Johnswifee, my son also arrived at RTC last Monday night, I wonder if they are together.  One week down.
