Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Karenlee on July 14, 2015 at 5:53pm: Ladies, glad to see Mom's on this site. I try to check once in awhile to see what is going on. If you have questions we will all try to help. My son has been out of school for 4 plus years and I know they changed up some things. They still do dive at the beginning and end but have changed the way some of their courss are at Elgin. Will keep everyone in thought and prayer as you begin this journey.

Comment by Eagle on July 14, 2015 at 9:00am: All, Its great to see your comments, my son is also leaving Panama City on Thursday to go to Pensacola to begin EOD school after completing dive school. We were hoping to go see him for the day on Thursday but it sounds like they are getting out right away so we cancelled our trip. I am hopeful we will get a short visit in at some point in Pensacola.

Comment by NavyM♥m on July 14, 2015 at 2:04am: Hello everyone. I joined this group around last Aug. when my son got to Panama City for Dive school. He's now at Eglin starting area 8. Expects to graduate in Sept. Then on to Ft. Benning. It was pretty quiet on here those first few months. Good to see others have questions & concerns like I do. The common factor I see in these threads is that our sons LOVE what they are doing....And THAT gives me peace. If my son is happy....I'm happy.

Mine has been EOD for 4 1/2 years now and loves it. He is currently deployed. I will keep you and your son in prayer as you begin the next journey.
