Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi Prayermom. My son will soon be deployed. Many of us have been where you are now. We are all here for one another. This is a great site. When you need help, there is always someone here who can help you. ⚓️⚓️

My son just completed dive school, headed for Eglin.  Any Moms' in North Texas OR in a similar situation?  Thanks to all for the helpful comments.

Thank you for for sharing your very sensible thoughts. I'll definitely have to adopt your views - as that is the only way I'll stay somewhat sane!Lol! I'll probably live for Skype.:-)

I have not gotten over the mom fear. It is always in the back of my mind but I don't dwell on it. My husband has always said accidents can happen at anytime and we made it through the teenage years and these guys have a lot more common sense then he did back then so I just go with the flow. hope you will be able to skype while he is gone. I love Skype! Just being able to see them makes a big difference.

Mine leaves January. I'll be a wreck! He also loves what he does, but I'm not as brave as he is. I honestly thought I'd see more wimpy Mom's likes me here. How do you handle the mom fear?

Glad you got to spend the holiday with your sailor. Mine will be gone until the end of the year but is still having a good time doing what he does. he is looking at another deployment next summer and then the plan is to move on to the school house for a 2 year stint. He will re-up this year. What are your sailors up to and what are their plans? Hope everyone has a good day.

We got to spend the holiday together this year. That won't be the case next year. We enjoyed every minute of it together!
Everything is progressing with training?
Hi to everyone! I also hope all is well with everyone and hope to see more postings. It's been quiet here!
