Annabel Lee - I know what you mean! My husband is in Aschool and it's been such a change in life it's kind of shocking not being able to be involved like we were before. But I'm very proud of him, it's just different :)

I miss him SO much.. It's great that we can text and talk, but this is going to take some getting used to! I miss talking face to face. And I miss his hugs. :(

Hi Liberty! My son is SO ready for Florida too! Hope they get their fins soon!

Hi Anabel- I know that they issue them and perhaps they didn't realize that there would be so much time between graduation and the start of class. My son told us tonight that he still has not received anything that we ordered. So, tomorrow I have to call both places and get a refund on the express shipping. I will feel much better when he gets everything. My son he is ready to get to Florida and, also, ready to hear people say "Ya'll" ! Haha! I think he is OVER the weather up there!

Liberty, my son said that they issue them when class starts, but since they had a while before class starts, he wanted to practice with fins, so he ordered them, but they haven't been shipped yet...probably on back order. He was able to borrow some last weekend, I hope he can again if his don't come in....

Brittany- My husband had called several places. The place where he finally found them was called The Playground Dive Shop 816-220-7529. He bought the last pair of men's large. However, if you need a different size then call them. They gave us a Military Discount and sent them two day air for 14.00. He said that they were very nice. He received a message today from another place that he had called. The number to that one is 702-897-3866. Not sure if they have them or not but worth a try. My question is this...If this is equipment that they need then why on earth is it not stocked at the NEX? Doesn't this seem crazy that we are having to find something that is needed for their class? AND...where they told before boot camp that they would have to find them on their own? If they were (very possible) I never heard a thing about it! Seems like unnecessary stress. Good luck to everyone. Doxie- Mom- Happy Birthday to your son!!! April is such a beautiful time of year here for a birthday- I love it!

My husband doesn't have his fins yet either. I've been on the hunt for them since I left there last week. Found one place but it was gonna cost him 75$ for a taxi to go get them. I just got off the phone with frogg pond and hopefully their shipment will be in by tomorrow.
