Hi to everyone,
Yes, EOD is one tough school and addy is right only about 1/2 make it. It is a very rewarding career for them. They will need lots of love and encouragement. Addy, my son is in Rota but has been given verbal orders for Little Creek later this year. He is waiting on hard orders and then I will be doing the "happy dance". I will be glad when they are back in the US and closer to visit. Don't know if you guys know this but EOD is only stationed in VA or San Diego when they are stateside. Two places that will be on our vacation list. EOD is a very close and tight knit community. They have each other's back for everything. I,too am very proud of all the EOD guys and gals. If any of you have Navy week in your area check it out. They were in St Louis a few years back and will be here this April. The EOD guys will be there. Hope everyone is staying warm (if you happen to be "in the polar vortex") which we are. Have a good night.

happy new year, i see some new posts here, i just thought i would update everyone with where my son is in his training.  he is in san diego for his last class.  it will be the last time his class will be all together.  they are a very close knit group.  proud of all them.  after california he and one other EOD tech will be headed to rota, spain.  come this march he will have been in tow years, so tell your sons and husbands, daughters and wives, it is a

VERY tough school.  lots of ups and downs but after the get that crap pin it falls comes together.  tell them to look around who is with them at bootcamp, over half of them will not be in their graduating class.  good luck, give them lots of love and support

EOD is a very tough school to get through. It's very demanding and stressful, but my son never sounded so happy. We are not happy with EOD, but he sure is!!!
