Oh, thank goodness! Now you can pamper him. It must be viral if they didn't give him antibiotics.

ENJOY HIM!!!!

This site has been my therapy sessions. Although we are so very proud of him, EOD scares the living daylights our of the rest of the family. I'm not dealing with it too well. I wish he had chosen another position within the Navy.......

He just texted. He doesn't have pneumonia. Yeah! But they didn't give him antibiotics. I'm not sure what's up with that but at least his plans don't have to change. I will just make sure he gets lots of rest when he is home. Thank you all for your prayers and concern. Don't know what I would do without the moms on this site!

Hi Narob01 and Carolina Mom,

You have my prayers as well. Remember the Navy does it's best to keep these guys/gals safe. That is why they sent Brandon to Florida to recuperate. They really are well cared for when they are sick. I'll keep checking the site to see when you post the results.

Thank you Carolina Mom, he is supposed to come home (Dallas) tomorrow and be home for the stand down then go to Panama City. I hope he gets to come home but I want him to take the time to get well. If it takes being rolled back to get him strong and healthy then that is what needs to happen. He is supposed to get test results this morning. I am anxiously awaiting his call. Thank you for your kind words and prayers. I'll let you know.

Thanks Brandonsmom. I hope they do that for him. Great Lakes is way too cold for my Texas boy!

Hi Bonnie!

I'm such a worrier. I always imagine the worst, but then I realized that while they are in training, they are safe and cared for. Sadly, not by us Moms!!!

Stop worrying and just believe that whatever happens in his training will be the best for him. There are other interesting choices if he is dropped. Not a failure, just another opportunity, and one that will hopefully be safer!!!!

My son got pneumonia during dive prep. I don't have a clue how he passed the final water test. He got out of the water and was running a fever. With the cold winters in Chicago, they sent him to his next stop, I think it was Panama to recover. He was medically rolled, but got healthy!!!

Good luck & let us know how he is doing. ;-)

Just talked to my son. He is sick. They did tests today. If he has pneumonia they told him he will have to go back to Great Lakes and wait for the next class to form before he can go on to Flordia. He won't have to go through the testing again but... He will know something in the morning. Please say a prayer that he just has an upper respiratory infection that can be fixed with a round of antibiotics.

Thanks again JackFlash. Our son is home and I haven't had a chance to check out that site, but will definitely so ASAP!!!!

We are constantly amazed by our son and now that we met some of his buddies, our hearts just swell with pride. Our son is on his way to San Diego after the holiday's and then will be stationed to Virginia Beach.
