Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

He has been down in Panama City for a few weeks now but he's just been doing pt in the mornings then he helps out at the schoolhouse in the afternoons. He's definitely looking forward to finally starting dive school! I hope your son gets better soon!

forevermom any word on your son? is he getting to move with this group? I have watched the youtube videos and told my son to watch them but he said mom I got this lol. aaaahhh boys. he is doing good ready to start the next school he is looking forward to it right now but I am sure that will change once he gets in there and gets tossed around some lolol.

Comment by ColleenJ on July 29, 2011 at 2:27pm: Also, the show Surviving the Cut on Discovery Channel just did an episode on Air Force Combat Divers. It was filmed at the dive school in Panama City and my boyfriend said that what they show is a combination of the things that EOD does in dive prep and dive school. He alsos said that EOD is harder though haha! But I agree YouTube videos are probably the easiest way to get a feel for what dive school is like for them.

He told me that graduation is Monday and then he thinks they fly to PC on Wednesday. From what I understand, then it's Dive School--can someone tell me what that involves?
