Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

ColleenJ that will be with my son prayers to your boyfriend.

forevermom any word on your son? is he getting to move with this group? I have watched the youtube videos and told my son to watch them but he said mom I got this lol. aaaahhh boys. he is doing good ready to start the next school he is looking forward to it right now but I am sure that will change once he gets in there and gets tossed around some lolol.

Also, the show Surviving the Cut on Discovery Channel just did an episode on Air Force Combat Divers. It was filmed at the dive school in Panama City and my boyfriend said that what they show is a combination of the things that EOD does in dive prep and dive school. He alsos said that EOD is harder though haha! But I agree YouTube videos are probably the easiest way to get a feel for what dive school is like for them.

Hello all.  I just got back into town this morning. My son had to retake IWP on Tuesday and then he passed.  He told me that graduation is Monday and then he thinks they fly to PC on Wednesday.  From what I understand, then it's Dive School--can someone tell me what that involves?

pench, my boyfriend is down in panama city, he graduated with the last dive prep class but was on med hold and will be classing up next friday with the new EOD class that's coming in :)

just checking in how is everyone doing? everything good here son has to retake IWP he has passed it 3 times but didnt pass it when it counted uuggghhh oh well I will just keep praying hope everyone is having a great day

Navyarmymom, my son to is currently in GL he was happy they are getting to see Captain America tonight a week before it comes out every where lol.

forevermom my son said today he is to start a week from monday, but he still does not know when they are sending him from SD to GL.  he is ready to get started though. hope your son is doing better you said he was on hold for medical. I am so tired today I have done so much around the house made dinner and made another batch of dill pickles ready to call it a dal lol
