AJMom, I’d love that!
IDCmom#1 - It is very nice to read that your son enjoyed his assignment at Little Creek. Also how nice that his family are staying in the same base for his next assignment.
For my son this is his first assignment, he is only 18. He is very happy that he wont be too far from home.
So happy it was a good experience for your son. Blessings!
NJ NavyMom - Me too, I hope one day I also get to meet your son. I'll private message you, when we visit our son in Little Creek during the summer.
John and Yvonne - God bless your heart for what you do. I will let my son about this and i hope he gets a chance to meet you. He is only 18, a safe place to hang out is exactly what I been praying for him. I'll pass your info to him. Thanks!
AJMom, my son is just completing a three year assignment at Little Creek. He’s really enjoyed his assignment and the area.
He’s only transferring to Naval Hospital Portsmouth so they are remaining in their Little Creek base housing and the girls can remain in their good schools.
My daughter-in-law is super at finding enrichment activities in their area that even my 41 year son loves. I hope your son will enjoy it. So much history in the area.
Yvonne, so very sweet of you. My son is stationed in Little Creek for just a few more days. Wonder if his wife would let him hang out with you while she corrals the three kids. Just kidding but what a wonderful thing that would have been pre marriage and children when he has some lonely days.
AJmom,
My husband and I open our home on the weekend and invite sailors over to give them a safe place to hang out. We feed them, play board gamers, go mini-golfing(which we are doing tomorrow night, watch movies and attend different activities in the area. We only live 5-10 minutes from Little Creek. We'd like to invite your son over and can pm you our cell # if he's interested and is ok with contacting us, or if he's ok with us calling him you could give us his cell #. Check out our page on this site.
