Hi. My husband is about to be done with FC Aschool and I was wanting to know if they would move us when he goes to Cschool? We have a 14 month old and I'm 24 weeks pregnant so I was wanting to know if we would be on his orders to move with him or how all that worked. We really want him there when the baby is born and the due date is November 25.

Depends on the length of the school.   Six months or more, there is a definite number of weeks.   20, 21 or 22, I can't find it quickly.  Less than that, then it will at your expense.
Ok so I just need to be praying even harder that he get's a longer one.

There are very few FC schools that are less than six months long - the one that stands out is a gun systems in DamNeck so tell him to go ...AEGIS, CIWS or Tomahawk if he has a choice in the matter...these are all longer schools and good systems for FCs.

I wouldn't worry, if he's not even done with FC-A then chances of you guys leaving Great Lakes before your due date in Nov are extremely small. My husband just graduated last week and we've been told that it will probably be at least Oct before we even get orders and another couple months after that before we actually leave...with a possibility of being here all the way until next spring. I'm kind of hoping we will be cause I'm pregnant with our 2nd child also but not due til March, so it'd be nice to not have to find a new OB etc. But who knows!

If you do happen to get orders and move before Nov then like the others said, it depends on the length of the C-school but most of them are long enough that they'll be accompanied orders. If he does get a short school you should get your follow on orders with the school orders, and you should be able to go ahead and move there and then he can take like 10 days of paternity leave when the baby gets there...
Thank you so much Ash! I have been so worried about that and these hormones don't help! Aww congrats to you guys! Yea he graduated lastweek too, on the 5th. I felt the same way, I didn't want to go through moving and changing OB's, I'm going to Dr. Hartman in Lake Forest and love him and the nurses! Thanks again for all the info!
Lol, I totally feel you about the pregnancy hormones making this all the more crazy! It's all so confusing, this last year has been such a learning experience! My husband did just say today that the CNO is pissed at TSC for keeping the guys on hold here for so long, so they may start getting orders out more quickly but last I heard they were still working on May/June so I don't think August grads will be going anywhere before Dec/Jan but probably won't take till spring. There's only so much room in the C-schools, so there's only so much they can do to speed it up...

My husband graduated on the 5th too, how funny. I just asked him if he recognized the name Breaux and said he's on his ship and his friend Dannon knows him. Such a small world! And I'm almost positive Dr. Hartman is the OB one of my Navy wife friends here who's also pregnant is seeing. I prefer to have a female OB and there were only 2 that were taking new patients and deliver at the Lake Forest hospital, so I'll be going to a lady named Dr. Woods, hoping she's good!
That is too funny, what is your husbands name and I'll ask if Patrick knows him. Yea I love the Lake Forest hospital, everyone there is so nice! I just pray he gets to be here when the baby is born.
FYI Tomahawk is only a 3 month C school, but the others Mary listed are longer. They moved me, but my hubby has been in C school since January, and picked up another C school after the one he was in ended. And Dr. Hartman was awesome, I started out with him, then we moved. But I loved everyone there :)
Ooo, I haven't heard of anyone getting a second C-school. Good to know it's a possibility! Do you know if it's only for the system your husband is on or others as well? Will it be in the same place you guys already are or will you have to move again?
