Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hard to keep up somedays but wanted to congratulate Noel on his orders. BR549, the USS Millius is an Aegis Destroyer - nice size ship. Depending on how it's staffed, the crew size is about 230-300. And four years in San Diego is sweet!

Woke up this morning to find our son is in Korea today, they still have awhile before they return to their homeport in Pearl Harbor but they have released the homecoming date and announced a Tiger Cruise...that tiger cruise is originating in TAHAITI. My all time dream vacation but we cannot join them due to other commitments we have and the cost of a one way airline ticket from Hawaii to Tahaiti is $1700 so thinking alot of families won't make that tiger cruise! I just know he is grinning ear to ear to think he is beating me to Tahaiti!

Comment by Anti M on October 7, 2011 at 8:27am: Remember, don't book their flight out for too early in the morning, the schools have to process out a LOT of sailors that day, they have to have their rooms inspected as some of the barracks will be shutting down and the ones staying behind will move into other rooms for a while. Get them back a day early if you can, NEVER book the last flight into the area.
