We did speak with our sailor last night and as Kellie reported, they lost some time Thursday and Friday due to computer issues. Hoping that everything is back to normal today for our sailors.

Thank you squids mom for that story. I've told him what Millye said and he said someone was wanting to buy the car, but since all the moves, he can't find him.

Nancy, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you have an extra family member for dinner on Thursday! Neese's son and soon to be daughter in law are coming in for Thanksgiving as well but if her time allows - it would be great if she could join us.

Yeah, plane flights while on liberty are a pretty big no-no.

OH Carol, Your son sounds as determined as mine. James drove from MI to Norfolk VA through the mountains in a car that just had a new engine put in it. This is not what the breaking ride should be for a new engine, but try to tell a 23 year old that! He made it just fine, but his uncle(who put the engine in for him) and I did not sleep we were back and forth on the phone all night waiting for word from him. HE made the mistake of not having a car charger that worked and also failed to stop at the guard shack at 3am to explain and ask to use the phone. I finally got my call at 6:30am (3 1/2 hours late). I chewed him up one side and down the other for not calling. Believe you me He will never not call again!!

He told me had to take the car because it is his "1st Hot Rod, and transportation from base to town was $40 by cab" (not that gas was so cheep last summer). He started a 2nd C-school in Virginia Beach, and there was no transportation available. This was only a 10 hour drive not 35 hours. If it were I do not know what we would have done. Most likely he would have flown and I would have driven it out when I took my vacation (2wks), Or he would have just had to suck it up and buy a car there, and store this one in our garage. (Stubborn Kids!!)
Those are great pictures Neese.
