Hope you enjoyed the TC - I hear your younger son slept just a few racks down from my Dad and bro in-law. Also, hear ya'll kinda meet and had a chance to talk. My family really enjoyed the TC. Minus arriving home a day late! :)

Hola Chica! How are you since our darling wonderful beloved ships returned home??? How is James? What's going on in your world? Just wanted you to know how VERY much I enjoyed getting to meet you and party with you at the crawfish boil in VA Beach that Danny's buds threw. I think we were sufficiently able to show them kids that momma's can party too!!! Anyway, have a great day!!!! Hope to hear from you soon!

My son is on the Nitze but I havn't found anyone else . I wonder why ? Very few moms on here . If you can explain it , sure would appreciate , why there's not many moms on here to talk about there sailors or ship .

So???? Are you gonna give us all the details of your Tiger Cruise??? Hey sorry we didn't get to connect - once he was with me, we were going here and there! Never made it to Monticello - Came home yesterday. I mean ALL DAY YESATERDAY. Woke up at 3:15 am (EST) My flight to Dallas was at 7am. Once in Dallas, they pulled our plane and we had a hour delay. Arrived in Sacramento, CA at 1:30 PST. Then took my 3 hour drive north to my home. Talk about jet lag??? I was a zombie last night. Slept in today but my back is aching and my legs, for sitting in such cramped position for so long. I love to fly but I'm going to have to spend more just to get first class - they pack everyone in like sardines and I can't take that anymore.

Anyway can't wait to see all your pictures - I'll have mine uploaded lord willing, sometime today.

Thanks for the compliment on my page...I looked for photos on the internet & just downloaded them...the music comes from projcet playlist..you know how to edit your page, so you are wayyyyyyyyyyy ahead.....I just typed in navy photos in google...the sub is the actual sub my son is on

It is almost that time!!! :) I bet you are busy getting ready for the TC. I will be going out of town until HC so I have been cleaning all day.

I also drove out to base today - it is huge! I want to make sure I know my way around so I don't get lost at HC! :)

Well, I hope you have a safe trip. Don't forget the motion sickness medicine - just in case. I've been constantly reminding my dad. :) And also have lots and lots of fun!

I leave a week from tomorrow. I am sorry about the lack of phone calling - there doesn't seem to be enough of me to get everything done these days, and there DEFINITELY aren't enough hours in the day. My boss is on vacation in Belize right now so the whole office is my job since there's only the two of us right now. Then we get one day together before I leave for Norfolk. I will PM you my cell #; I don't know a lot about what Danny has in mind yet for my visit, but I definitely want to see if I can meet up with you and some of my other mom friends! Talk to you soon - I promise!

Hi Rehne'! Sorry I haven't had a chance to call you yet - I will get there. I've had some late nights at work the last couple of weeks and some family issues to deal with when I've gotten home. I am exhausted and ready for that vacation in a couple of weeks. If there are no more fires at home in the next couple of days, I will call you either tonight or tomorrow night. Forgive me for my absence, my friend. I have so much computer and phone time during the day at work with the marketing blitzes I am doing that I can't seem to make myself be subjected to them when I finally get home too. But I PROMISE I will call you in the next two or three days - don't be upset with me...I couldn't stand it!!!

I am running out of things to keep me busy.

Heard from Brandon this past weekend. He was so excited about this port visit. He can't believe he got the chance to travel there! I am truly ecstatic for him, but I can't lie... I am also a little jealous! :) And he knows I am because it is a place we have always talked about. But he was sweet about. He said he will take lots of pictures to share and he would enjoy it more if I was there to enjoy it with him!

Hi fellow howler! I am sorry for the prolonged absence. Just been super-busy at work and too zombied when I get home to do anything - too long a story to tell right now! Anyway, I finally made my plane reservations for Norfolk. My youngest sister is coming with me. We are going to stay at Danny's apartment for the trip to save some money and have more to play with! I can finally start getting excited!!!
I miss you girl - and will try to be better in touch as we get closer to that ship coming home! What's up with your darling James and the Nitze? Everything going well and looking forward to being home on time?

Long time no news from me! I have been just swamped for the past couple of months. We are so thrilled for the Tiger cruise so are you going? Are you taking the bus from Norfolk? I need to get the paperwork done and turned in and all so hopefully have time this week. We did do that test and that fortunately was not too bad. Our youngest is super excited over getting to go on this. I hope that I can "survive" the conditions - hahahahahaha. Chris has had to remind me that space if very limited and water is very limited. :-)

He is missing home a lot for sure and ready to relax for a couple weeks. We're actually looking to see if a townhouse makes sense for him since he'll get BAH when he returns. He could've had it before but just did not make sense.

I will be unable to make it on Sunday. We had a fire at my place of work today and I have to work on Sunday mandatory. I did hear from Dennis and he won't be on the ship at Homecoming, so we won't be attending. Maybe you can send me some pictures when you get back from Homecoming. Would really like to have a picture of the ship. Tell everyone I said hello and maybe will be able to make the next one.

Hey there fellow howler! Sorry I have been so absent lately - my life is a big ole Texas-sized roller coaster right now between work and family commitments!!! I hope that things are going to settle down a little this week so that I can start making plans for homecoming. I am having the HARDEST time getting uninterrupted time to plan that!!! I miss you though and just wanted to say hi. I think I need a good old-fashioned HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLL!!!

I really enjoyed the time we spent at breakfast. Having someone so close is especially comforting to know we can reach out to each other.
Got a few emails this afternoon, Homecoming is still unknown for us at this time. Valentine Day came late as my package just arrived today, and I thought I was doing good I mailed it the beginning of January. The store thought I was crazy back then, they were unpacking some of the stuff and I was grabbing some of it before they could price and put it on the shelf.

Are you as excited as me about homecoming?!? :) I am already starting a countdown.

You are probably just as excited about the TC. Brandon told me that not as many sailors are getting off the ship early as they expected, so they might only be allowed to invite one person. I hope this isn't true - Brandon has already invited his brother and my dad. Both are in the military - brother is Army and my Dad is Air Force - and they are both looking forward to it!

Brandon's sister-in-law, mom, grandma, my mom, and I will all be at homecoming. Hopefully we will see each other! Brandon just found out that he will be able to get off the ship, but has to report back first thing the next day - he has duty.

Did you find somewhere to stay? You're best bet is any "name brand" hotel and as far as location - try VA Beach/Hampton area.
