OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Lalalalala - just talked to my sailor!!!

No snow for Kellie this weekend but he said there will be LOTs in February!

He went for orders today!!! BUT...no one was there. He's going to try again tomorrow. He has not been able to put in a chit for the holidays as the orders may change everything. Also said he will have to leave the Cole------and move to the Franklin. Apparently those that have orders but on hold pending their ship dates are all moving over to the...Franklin.

Also there was a 4 star admiral visiting the school today - he is next in line for the CNO position.

Just for you Kellie - you will love snow when you see it the first time!

I believe Nick seen flurries last weekend. I think if you live with your parents, you are not entitled to BHA. We had to supply copies of our lease agreement, etc.

Nancy - coming to my town??!!! Perhaps we can find time for coffee while you are here. Our daughter will be home from school but let's face facts...she's going to be having fun with her friends...not her mom!!!

Hi Ladies, just a heads up based on all of the security concerns posted recently on the site I am making a few changes to my personal page. I'll probably have a new name and identity in the next day or two.

Another area that I have made a change to is the avatar for our group. When I started the group back in April I had no clue it would grow to the volume that it has. Using the FC and ET rating badges is just so much more relevant to our sailors. So goodbye Nick - hello badges!

My thanks to Nancy for pulling them together for us.
