Julie, glad that you heard from Kyle. In a matter of just a few days he flew all the way to Japan which is about a 14 hour flight and then out to the ship. It can take days to get over the jet lag from the first flight and now he is on another plane. I bet he is tired!!! He didn't have much time before they flew him out and none of his shipmates were there to greet him. Now that he is meeting his ship, he will know his division mates well before they get back to port and they will know the area and help him settle in. I know it is not easy for you but he hasn't had a chance to enjoy anything yet - much less recover from his flights. Hang in there!!!

I've been cleaning closets here Lynn and think I need a vacation - can only imagine what you have been thru! Did you get a snazzy sports car?!!

If only we could plan when they lose their liberty! I really suspect that they will want the sailors to enjoy Thanksgiving Lynn, especially if they have families coming in for the holiday. So hopefully all the sailors will be on good the weekend before!

Kellie, my son likes it. They did have tomove him up to 3rd floor because of mold or water problem in his room on the 2nd floor. He said they did not lose their liberty for ARI's like the other ships. I havn't heard a word from him in about a week and a half. He's supposed to be done with A school by now. I need a hometown release from him and I've asked and asked....

Does that mean he's gotten over the Cole?? LOL

So just heard from my favorite sailor, he sounded a tad stressed!!! The girls are moving back in! He's still on the Cole and now is asst. section leader and anyone on the second floor got news to MOVE up or out to another ship as the gals are taking over the second floor again! He lost his ET roommate to another ship and now has two OS roommates - for now.

He said there are 27 FCs waiting on orders right now and they just tell them to check back...in the morning. Unfortunately he is not one of them...still working on wrapping up ATT.

Also said they have not done their group leave request as of yet - he is anxious to order his airline tickets for the holidays until it is approved. Do you think he has missed me...he seems mighty anxious to come home?!!!

Aw Kellie, you could be my daughter! No wait, she's 20 now and yes, we are still giving her lunch money!!! It's just called college room and board.
