Just so there is no confusion, all of the ships mentioned here are brick and mortar with the exception of that one...from a NEW fleet mom. I'm sure she appreciated the reminder :-D.

Please everyone... We all know this a public site... So let's refresh on the
N4M guidelines.

Do not talk about ship movement.

Welcome to our newest member, Cammy - mom of Dale.

Haven't talked to our sailor this weekend but it sure looks mighty cold in GL!!!

Julie, what wonderful pictures of your family. I've sent you a note - we've missed you but knew you were sharing some happy days with Kyle. I agree that it is getting harder to keep up with all the groups but hopefully our sailors won't graduate from school and sail on. We need your fleet experience knowledge here ladies!!!

Millye, I'm not familiar with the www.call2 program, glad you mentioned it,I will be checking out their website. I understand alot of families use Skype that have sailors overseas.

FYI...don't know about a split holiday schedule for our sailors but our son is talking Dec. 19 - January 2nd also. Smiling mom here!!!

Morning ladies, did speak with Nick and asked him about moving and he said he has not been told anything but he knows many others are moving to new ships. He said he know alot of them are moving over to the Enterprise, he did not know anything about matching the rates together by ship - I would like to see that happen. He said one of the big problems was the Franklin, serious mold issues. He thinks he is staying on the Cole but we all know that can change at an time.

Lynn, do you mean the Mustin? I know Claire is on it where Patrick is. Or do you mean after the move?
Comment by CCR on October 23, 2008 at 10:17pm
My son told me he was taking Dec 19 - Jan 2 and I am taking a job in two weeks so I won't get to see him much. My husband drives 4 hrs a day to his, and I'll drive 2. Oh well, sleep IS overrated.

So it a rumor all the FC's are moving from the Mustin to the Cole?
Try and keep us updated, when anyone confirms, OK?
You will probably know B-4 I will.

Karla, thanks for the info on the move. I was wondering because I've left a msg on my son's phone and he hasn't called back. He's on the Mustin (fc), so maybe he won't move, correct? Or maybe they will make them move rooms. We thought he'd stay put after SCC, but his 2nd floor room on the Mustin had a problem from the room directly above it (I think someone left the water on) so they moved him up one more floor.

I knew the term...gator frators! Think it is a great nickname.

Nancy, I'm wondering if this pepper spray is a new situation. I have a friend on the Vinson and they went thru this yesterday as well. Your remedy sounds like it would be soothing - you will have to let us know if it works.

And Congrats to him for getting that indoc behind him...he can enjoy his liberty again!

It gets better when they complete SCC, fortunately that is a short class.
