Interesting Nancy, not sure I've heard that term so basically a big deck ship accomodates helicopters and/or planes(?) so much to learn here!!

Karla, you got all the information on the move! Perhaps our son will call grumbling tonight that he's been moved out of the Cole! Could you Mustin ETs please leave your room clean for him?!! LOL Mold could be playing a really big part of this but it seems like they had a mold problem on the Mustin earlier this year and moved those Sailors up a floor to work on it. Perhaps Mustin is fixed now and the other buildings are having mold issues.

I've always wondered why they did not have the rates consolidated before, our son has GMs, IC and ETs for roommates since moving into his building.

Charlotte, if your daughter has muster at 9am...she is sleeping in!!! Our son had it at 7 am while he was in SCC.

okay - educate me! I'm not sure I've heard of the "big deck" and I can understand why a carrier would be a big deck.....but other ships have big decks too? I thought this was the flight deck?

Oh that is funny - will he be following him to his ship too???

Wow, I hate moving!

That is the impression I am getting too, when I asked Nick about it on Monday, he said they were moving alot of them but so far he has not been told that he is moving yet. He did not know why the moves were happening.

I'm not understanding what is going on with the moving from ship to ship right now. Normally they are on two ships; one for indoc and SCC and then to a different ship for ATT and A school. I can understand condensing the ships during the holidays but otherwise I'm not sure why the movement.

LOL - It appears that he really has found how powerful that dress uniform is while he is on liberty and we have no Navy bases anywheres around us...I'm thinking it can work at the health club!

Now keep in mind, he is getting this info second hand as he was not there when ITT came in. They probably run back to back shuttles full of happy sailors!

He did say they may be able to park their stuff in one room - it's a matter of will they want to?

I'm thinking if he goes to the fitness club in uniform and winks at the gal at the front counter, he might be able to buy a couple of weeks cheap!!! LOL

He thought it was the 19th of December too Jackie but wasn't sure of the return date. He said they will be running shuttles to O'Hare for them @ $20 a ticket.
