A large university can be very overwhelming. Our daughter graduated from a class of 40 and accepted an offer from Auburn but after touring it twice, she got cold feet due to the size and ended up going to a university with just...17,000 still plenty big enough for her.

Marsher's son actually got 2 C schools, he is in Norfolk now and as Jackie shares - her son has his C school written into his contract so you might ask your finance if it was included in his contract as well.

I suspose you could send him one of those cute stuff gators for motivtion Kellie!

ETs do complete ATT before A school. Marsher's son recently completed his training at GL as an ET and he is in C school now. I think in some cases ETs may go to the fleet and do C school later but don't quote me on that. Some definitely go directly to C school - we have proof of that with Marsher's son!!!

No word on C school and it sounds like he won't know until he completes ATT. He's hoping for Aegis in Dahlgreen but what he hopes for and what he will receive maybe different worlds!

Nick did call tonight - he went directly to ATT (no hold) and no night classes as they are using those to push the A school students along. His tenative grad date is listed as Dec. 2nd - he wants to wrap it up soon but wants to know the material at the same time. That date is a litle disappointing to hear as I really hoped he would be home for Thanksgiving and I'm afraid to even try to make reservations for GL as he is convinced he will be done with ATT sooner.

Ah...the lives we get to live as military families!!!

And Kellie - he did even have to pay for those credits!!

Karla, so glad to hear that it was not more serious for Ryan - carry on with those classes!

Finishing his college while in the Navy was not his prime focus of joining so it's okay either way but while we were together during PIR weekend he was showing us a website and it looked like most of them will come out of C school. Makes no difference to me, he's doing fine and regardless of when/where the credits fall - it's a good program.

It's a great thing Melinda, my husband take full advantage of this situation while he was a sailor and received two degrees when it was all said and done.

I did mention the credits to our son yesterday as he had a fair amount of his core classes completed before he made the decision to join the Navy. I know when they move to C school, the credits really multiply.

Thanks all, we all knew how long these schools are for our sons and daughters and each leg that they accomplish is something to cheer about.

Lynn, I would not suggest making a video for your parents anniversary. wink, wink, you know what I mean....PS They did get to see it when they brought me home and I showed it to them on my computer. Mom was crying. The music matched every picture perfectly. I think it just kept freezing cuz it was 37 minutes, so I have now divided it.

I cannot believe that holiday special.

Okay, forgive me for this...

Yipee Pictures, Images and Photos

Nick just called - he is DONE with A school!!!!!!! A sailor that PIR from division 162 also finished today and a couple are due to finish tomorrow.

Now it is back to ATT - I'm hearing about three weeks, he will know more tomorrow.

Lynn, your parents are in Norfolk? That would be wonderful for you to visit. Just a note to concur: In May, there was an accident on 94 going to O'hare and we had to get off and take the back roads. I got out the map and it was kinda fun seeing the other side of Chicago. However, we always leave almost 2 hours early in case of things like that, so we were lucky. So Milwaukee is the key huh? And you can take the train from Milwaukee to GL, right? Since my son has a car, I wouldn't have to rent one if he's still there by then.
