Let's just pray that all of our sailors have a safe and happy holiday. 96 hours of liberty...can lead to TOO much fun! I had a hard time saying to our son...ohhhhhh you have duty ALL weekend?! Darn! LOL

Millye and Lynn _ have a wonderful time - both of you. I don't know what 96 is though (for Claire). Lynn - I'm sure glad you have this opportunity to go since its been March! and after all you have been through with his injuries. Hugs.

LynnDear - just seen your note about traveling to GL. How wonderful, would you stop by Nick's ship and give him a motherly hug for me as well? He does have duty all weekend. Haven't seen the brat since April...but he is due to take his "final exam" on Wednesday so the end may be near.

I bet Claire is SO excited to just come home and "feel" home for a few days. Their housing is not bad at GL but there is nothing like your own bedroom ...and family!

So sorry Kellie but he will be moving to another ship and that means his duty schedule will be for the ship that he lives on. I'd tell you that I know this really cute watch coordinator on one particular ship (wink-wink) but if you are talking the end of November...he better be graduated by then!!!

It will all work out for you and it's good practice for Navy life !!! :-D

Hoppi, what kind of instructor are you? You're not still in San Diego are you?

In her school track, after that first week of PIR, she will go to Indoc classes and they run about a week. After that she will go to SCC which is generally held in the evenings for two weeks. Upon completion of SCC - she will begin ATT which is a self-paced program. When she starts ATT, she will also move to another ship and that will be her home for the duration of school at GL. They are doing duty a tad different than before. They do duty for the full weekend, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and then have three weekends of no duty. They also have just two phases, so she will earn her right to civilian clothes, etc. fairly quick. Keeping those privledges - is up to that sailor!
