Hi all, went up to Michigan to visit the family for a couple of days and see it's been busy as ever here!

Kellie - after he completes SCC, he will move over to ATT and to his new ship at the same time.

Welcome Sunya to the group - hope I haven't missed anyone.

I sure hope Claire is not allergic to Mold!!
Marsher - K, yes he still has the last of the mods to go, though he is finished with the A school part. How has the visit been? Wonderful, of course. What barracks? Is he in the Carolinas? or Virginia?

Welcome Sharon to the group! Her son will be an FC after completing boot camp.

CCR - Patrick is a week or so ahead of Nick, I was hoping they would grad together. At least we will have Patrick going first so we will know what to expect out of ...the balance of ATT. Do you know how long that will last yet?

Jackie and Mary: You had asked about the grad date. Yes he will finish A school this week,, but still has those last mods to go. I've been going back and re-reading those links from Nancy and Marsher and Kelly - Kyles mom. I'd forgotten them.

Welcome Beth, glad you stopped in. Kyle's PIR will be here before you know it! Has the classifier told him if he will be an ET or FC yet?

Kellie, SCC is held in the evenings but it is only two weeks long so it's not that bad. However when he starts ATT and A school, alot of our sailors do go back in the evenings either voluntarily...or not! Our son goes back for two hours at night, as you have read some of the tests can be pretty hard so extra study sessions can help.

Good to see you USNwife! I know you are enjoying your husband being done in boot camp!

Kellie -maybe one of the ET moms can clarify but a year at GL seems long. The FC program runs about 7 months there and I didn't realize the ETs was longer but it could be.

See...USNwife's post - he's in Phase II already...guess you put push him if he wants to see you --- he better get it done quick!

Marsher, how exciting to see him move on to the next leg of his career! Hoping that he gets to come home along the way.

Kellie - it is self paced but each module has a suggested timeframe. Some modules go fast than others, if he looks at this orders they will have a date on them and I suspect he will finish about that time. They have this system figured out pretty well.

Nancy, No, no ship, but I see the Predator planes are canvassing the area for people. The problem with the water systems is that the water is so salty, and without electricity, they can't pump the sewers. I can remember when the Navy sat in the waters awaiting orders to help the Tsunami victims real recently and that country wouldn't accept our help.

Hey kellie - congrats to your fiance! Indoc last about a week and then SCC for two weeks.

Perhaps one of the more recent grad moms can tell you for sure but I think they had to remain in uniform for the first two weeks and was at Phase II shortly after that.

Lisa Lynn and Donna, go to the discussion forum topic "Meet and Greet" and introduce yourself. Blair was the last one to post I think. Thank everyone for their concern. Lynn, they said it would hover over us and flood, but we didn't get any flooding like your yard! Whats the current situation? Jorge said all windows on the East side of Beaumont hospital were blown out (his room was on the 5th floor on the west side) and the cars in the parking lot. Since he's feeding the responders, Guard, etc., and the hospital is the command center, the town is discussing closing down since the water/sewer can't pump for lack of electricity and they have to boil all the water and use bottled water to cook with. Nancy, did you find out if your son was on Crystal Beach or near Galveston?
