Going through a rough time. My son PIR was to be tomorrow. We received the dreaded call July 5th do not come to graduation...failed his fitness test...but he got in quickly if he called Wednesday he possibly could graduate....at that time it was about his run I thought..... we had actually received a cal prior to Wednesdaythis last Sunday and he said he was short 6 sit-ups so I'm not really sure.... well with all the floods up there the recruits couldn't go to FIT on Wednesday but he did not pass today....so we know he is not going to PIR with his group. He said he has 10 try's to pass.....if he don't then he will be dismissed......if he passes he goes on to A school which is at the Great Lakes.... will we get a chance to see him if he passes everything? Will he still be allowed to call on Sunday's or just when he passes or gets moved hopefully not to ship 5..... we are proud not matter what happens but this is devastating..... I was counting down the days to see him.....he joined the navy to serve his county, to see the world, for better education.....my husband was Navy and so was my dad.....my dad was the main reason he joined the Navy.... this was going to be a bittersweet weekend because my dad passed away the day after Father's Day unexpectedly..... it would have been his wishes to not tell my son till after graduation... so we haven't..... my dad didn't want any service or anything but we were waiting till A school.... when he started getting weekend liberty to see about arranging a visit for him to come home for a celebration of life.....I'm not finding much information about recruits who pass.....do they have a ceremony that we can attend even though it won't be like PIR???? So lost right now....the last thing my dad said to me on Father's Day was tell that boy I can't wait to see him in his dress whites...

Since my SR is doing BS on Monday & his division already graduated, will he still have liberty? His A school is in Great Lakes

Brite2017, no, she will not have PIR now that hers has passed. See the info in Battle Stations-21 (BST).

This is pure torture. ☹️ I pray they all make it. It is so HARD. I was in the USAF and failed my PFA because of a blown ACL. I did eventually pass but it was horrible. I HATE that my baby is going through this too. I have confidence he can do it though. We just have to keep writing, sending letters & cards, it is helping. Even if we don't hear anything they do appreciate it.

This not knowing is getting to me. I havent heard from my sister since last sunday, when she said she had 6 more tries to get the run down and is have problems with her ankle. I wish we werent so left out of the loop, that they could send letters or updates more often.

No idea on the Division. I have not heard from him since the phone call saying he failed his PFA test. I wish I would just hear something from him.
