Proudsistah - she is at home trying to heal so she can return on the 29th. I will pray that your sister passes her PFA.

Tks4- my sister knows your daughter! She shared to me what happened to your daughter couple of months ago i think... They became close friends in RCU. I still have not heard from my sister since wednesday... She's now in FIT trying to pass her PFA. How is your daughter doing now?

Thanks sandy - I know God has a plan for her. Sometimes I want to cry for her but then she tells a funny story that makes me laugh. I also think there are 2 recruits who are missing my daughter right now. You see my daughter could not be left alone so these 2 recruits had to tag along with her to her doctors appointments. On these outings my daughter got to pick where she wanted to eat. The 2 recruits got to eat at that restaurant also. :)

I am from Virginia. Parrothdql - No she has not taken her final PFA . She will need to do that and take 1 test plus Battlestations. She is not allowed to do much. This week I think she can add swimming in. She arrived at BC on March 22nd and her ordeal happened April 13th. Her surgery ( done by a civilian doctor ) was on June 9th. Yes that long of being on pain meds that only allowed her to sleep and shine her boots. The meds were to relax her cut nerve but also relaxed all the nerves in her body. She couldn't eat so she was placed on Ensure and lost 13 pounds. She tried her best to keep up with the other recruits and had perfect inspections and a perfect score on her first test and a 4.7 on her second test. She also did the gas chamber without a mask because she couldn't put anything on her face. When she returns she will have to see her surgeon In Wisconsin to make sure he doesnt want to perform a second surgery ( which is a possibility). She is off the heavy duty meds but still has alot of pain. She is looking forward to returning on the 29th. She will finish up but misses out on the experiencing of division photos or graduation. The good thing is that she was very strong physically going in because of her years of training as a state champion gymnast. She was also on track teams in High School and College. It is funny how her only weakness going in was swimming and she passed that. I thought nothing could get in her way after that. I was so wrong. Hopefully one day she will be able to tell this story sitting around the dinner table with her family. Titled :" How I came back from a dental mishap to serve my country. " Although this is tragic for her, she does have some funny parts to laugh about. Oh and for the record, the Navy personnel there( from the cooks to the Senior Chiefs and above ) have been wonderful through all of this.

navyrocke...I'm in Saint Cloud so we are less than an hour from eachother!  I was bummed that I could not see the last launch because of ther weather I an always see it from my front yard like you.  I love Melbourne my husband and I often talk of moving there.  If we take a day trip to the beach that's where we go.  It can't hurt to ask what are they going to do make him want out of FIT more? Ask!!!  I called and I got good news!  Either way you know his status.

S- you must be reading my mind, im sitting here clock watching and debating, either i ask or dont ,i just want to get letters out before my mail runs ,his dad wrote him such a touching letter yesterday with tips on breathing and form,it seems to take a week to get a letter back in frth though and time is not on our side.  If my guy goes to Norfolk you will be a boat load of info and it will be nice having a know mom close.

This launch could hardly be seen because of the clouds, finally we are getting much needed rain.  it is an awesome sight to see, i am a native of here and grew up in Merritt Island, i can recall our house shaking when the rockets and shuttles go up and the Boom when they come back.  Personally i think the Night time launches are the best ,amazing to see a Fireball in the sky and know there are people in side of it.

I have friends of friends and such that work KSC have some awesome pictures taken by employees especially on these last days.

The down side is our economy is highly impacted and having a trickle effect especially on animals UGH!

Parrothdgal -I am in West melbourne fl,brevard county this is where the shuttle launches, July 8 when it went up for its last mission it was a double heart breaker for me since my son wasnt at his ceremony couldnt help thinking how it effects everyone. Basically i am in the middle of jacksonville and Miami fl and about 50-60 miles east of Orlando,   Where are you ,everyone?

My Gosh tks, that is horrible, how could they possibly put her back thru bc after this ordeal,I am praying for her and everyone and Thankyou for the same.

I need to call PA this am and verify his div address ,i am scared to death to ask anything.
